Our pre-school provides 30 places per day for children aged 2 up to reception age. We're based in a purpose built lodge within the grounds of Rownhams St John's primary school and provide children with a wide range of activities including cooking, messy play, story and song time, play dough, sensory play, and water play. We boast a large outdoor play area with a climbing frame, playhouse, sandpit, mud kitchen, and kitchen garden. Children should come dressed for mess!
We encourage the children to learn about the world around them which is enhanced by growing vegetables and nature/welly walks in the school grounds. We provide opportunities for learning through stimulating play activities, promoting development and learning in a happy caring environment. Your child will have fun, grow in confidence, be valued, and feel secure. All 3-4 year old children will also participate in our language programme, BLAST.
Each child will be allocated a key-person who will observe your child's development throughout their time with us, and keep records that will be made available to you. We'll also hold key-person/parent meetings during the year to discuss your child's progress and set future focus activities.
